Any UK bank will insist on the following before it can open
any account for you
- Proof that you are who you say you are - Proof of Identity
( Passport, UK Driving License etc)
- Proof that you live where you say you live - Proof of
Address (Utility Bills, Council Tax Bill etc)
If you are new in the UK, providing the proof of address
may be a little difficult for you. However, the following
documents are usually accepted
- Tenancy Agreement
- A letter from your Employer in the UK confirming your
